Week 72- Christmas

Hey mom,dad!

I had a great week this week! Full of teaching and caroling and fun and freezing cold bike rides- dashing through the cold, on our crappy Walmart bikes, oe'r the hills we go...... oh what fun it is to ride in a freezing winter storm whew! I want to kill my self some days lol! Actually it has been pretty warm lately so I'm not complaining haha!

I didn't like the song I sang at zone conference..   I'm singing in church on the 31st! A song called Make me Whole. I will have to have somebody record it. We had an awesome ward Christmas party! There were like 7 non member families- all thanks to invite to ignite yeah buddy! We sat next to a non member family and a dope family the Anderson's and we had awesome conversations about the church and The Lord.  They came to church the next day too!

So for Christmas the plan is to go to the Forbes around 1 to face time! so 3 your time! We are not sure yet but we can shoot you a text through their phone when we are ready! Other than that plans consist of brunch or dinner at like 2 and movies at night and zone gathering and playing cash flow at an investigators house!

I got all the Christmas presents and I opened them all! I love them all thank you so much! I love the tie and sure I'll take another white shirt haha! Thanks so much. I enjoyed your testimonies the most thank you for sharing they were touching to me! I got mail from grandma you Avery,  dad,  Izzy and that's about it I think! I have been doing the nativity and studying in depth the scriptures in the new testament. I will send you a picture when it is complete. I don't know what I will do with the tree after Christmas though because I kept the one from last year and I want to save them. I might have to ship it back home. I'm shipping your Christmas presents tomorrow so hopefully you will get it in time.

okay I do have a Christmas message I want to share. and I will had my witness...

I love Christmas! It is my favorite season of the year! Especially when serving the Lord full time like Peter and the apostles did when they dropped their nets and left everything behind to follow the Savior Jesus Christ. Christmas is an interesting time of year. For those that don't know Christmas is actually a a paganistic holiday that we have adopted to recognize the Lord.   Christmas was not initially celebrated in the united states. Actually it was banned to celebrate it in the late 1800's. those that would celebrate would face serious punishment. the story or folktale of Santa Claus was the reason why Christmas was not celebrated. Santa Claus or Saint Nicholas and the German folktales are actually totally different then how we now perceive the jolly old bearded man with a white beard who loves children and gives good gifts.  But we have adopted and have made changes to Santa so that it could fit our culture.

But you're probably wondering why I'm talking about Santa Claus and a little back ground about how he came to be. That's because I want to make a relation to Santa Claus and Jesus Christ! Now I'm not saying that we can put Santa and Christ in the same category and I'm not trying to diminish Christ's divine role by any means. But I want to give you a perspective you have probably never have thought of before. Every child Longs for gifts under a tree with a signature of Santa Claus on each gift. Every Child anxiously awaits and imagines Santa a white bearded man coming down from the sky in his sleigh and leaving gifts for them eating a couple of cookies and some milk before he departs. Why is that?????!!!! Why do children get so excited when they picture Santa Claus coming down the chimney in his fat red suit. I think its because every child's soul longs for the coming of our savior Jesus Christ. The Book of Mormon says children are alive in Christ. Do you know most American homes the celebration of Christ is forgotten or not celebrated! and children grow up not understanding the true meaning of Christmas! but no matter if they are taught or not they all have the light of Christ burning inside of them. I think of a lot of times we shoot down the idea of Santa Claus because we try to focus on the Savior. but I feel that Santa should remain apart of the season because he helps point us to Jesus Christ. He comes in a red cloak, He comes in his chariot (sleigh) of fire accompanied  by many angels (his reindeer). He has a white beard, He gives good gifts to his children he knows them by name and he knows whether or not they are naughty or nice! I love the comparison because it is true. I Will continue to keep Santa apart of my Christmas because he helps me remember the reason for the season Jesus Christ!

I have a testimony of his birth life and resurrection. It is because of him that we have the greatest gift of all! His everlasting sacrifice that grants us the ability to be forgiven to try a little harder and become a little better each and every day! I love him! I would be nothing without him! I have caught a glimpse of the savior's life as I have tried to be fully submissive to the commandments of God and serve him with all my heart. I'm thankful that we celebrate his birth but I'm thankful we can celebrate his birth and life and resurrection not just Christmas day but every day of our lives! I know he lives and I too can live again! In the name of him the one we celebrate this season even Jesus Christ, Amen
Love you guys I will see you truly in a week ;)

Week 71- Prayer is Powerful

 Thank you for the tree!
My Christmas present that I opened early!

My Zone!
P-day was super dope last week.  We  had all the elders and there are some dope missionaries in the other stake. Somebody got his spike ball net sent out to him so we played that outside in the freezing cold. I forgot a shirt for pday so I had to take off my shirt and  played basketball with no shirt on. It felt super weird.  It's been a while since my chest has seen the sun.
1.)  Rachel Martinez took our picture. We teach her weekly. She is so sweet.
2.) Not sure about Christmas call yet,  probably calling from the Forbes house or something who knows
3.) Not sure if Elder Bird my old companion got made a zone leader let me ask him. He might be training again
4.) April went to the Lakewood Ward to see her daughter but next week she will be coming to our church again. She is still on date for the 30th and we found out she is not on parole thank the heavens. She is working to quit smoking and coffee but is doing an amazing job. Keep her in your prayers.
6.) I received granola bars, the Christmas tree with all the cousins, and MY UKULELE which I'm so happy.  I'm on it all the time and I can already play some songs. I loved them. I love the pictures of the family you all look so classy.  Everyone looks good. Ethan and that beard it makes him look so much older. I loved the tree and I will be starting the nativity on the 14th.
7.) I'm staying warm don't worry I have plenty of warm gear
8.) I saw all the pics of Avery.  She is so cute! How did she do?
9.) I love your goal mom, I hope you keep reading everyday and taking the prophets council. I have been reading the book of Mormon everyday since general conference. I have been hopping around reading a chapter a day. I have picked topics and turned to the chapter I like. I have been focusing a lot on prayer recently. My favorite example of prayer in the Book of Mormon is Alma 31 vs 26-38 Can you read that before next week and tell me what you liked. I feel that's how powerful prayer can be and sometimes my prayers falter but I have been trying to keep my prayers consistent.

I Love You with all my heart!

Week 70

Hope you enjoyed Thanksgiving break! I hope you get all your Christmas shopping done! Hey did you see that picture of Danielle up on the billboard crazy!!!!! I can't believe she is on a billboard haha that's pretty cool! This week we find out transfers but I'm pretty sure I will be followup training Elder Beck if not I'll be mad haha!
April is still on date it might change though and we may have to wait 3 months because she might be on parole. She is such a great lady though she got her parole changed from 3 years to 3 months because of all the service and nice things she is doing to change her life! But 3 months is a long time off and I probably won't be able to see her baptism oh well I love teaching her! WE are having some powerful lessons. I love teaching April. I had the opportunity to give her a priesthood blessing last week and it was awesome.   I could fell the powers of heaven come down. She is trying to quit her smoking addiction and coffee addiction but she has so much faith I know she will!
We are teaching this other guy named Tom! We meet with him Saturday mornings with brother Tame a member from our ward and we have good lessons. Tom is a hardcore bible fanatic. He used to be atheist but now believes! He used to have a hard time with the book of Mormons but recently he has opened up to it. Hopefully we can help him understand why it is important! Pray for him
We are also meeting with another Tom, we were supposed to have a lesson Saturday at 3 but he had to cancel because of work! I know he will be a future member of the church.   I just have that feeling. His 3 kids would fit right in with the youth in our ward so I hope we can sit down and teach him about the restoration because from the background info we gathered he still has trouble with there being so many churches. Pray for him as well!
Caleb we took off date but he still comes to church events such as church scouts/young mens! He just needs some time before he gets baptized and he is not as interested in taking the discussions as we thought he was. But eventually I see him being baptized!
That's all we have teaching right now we are really trying to get in contact with this PMF of 8. 7 of them are not members and I think we have some potential there! pray for them-The Deed family
Had Arvada stake conference yesterday and it was amazing. Mission pres was there and we briefly said hi to them. Brother Forbes our ward mission leader fed us dinner and we had a brief meeting discussing how we can get our missionary program going!
Today we have a fun pday planned going to hoop it up with the boyz! I miss basketball and playing competitively! wish I could go back and play another year at L-S! That stupid injury made me miss most of my sophomore year and  my junior year wasn't any better! I'm excited to go to school and play intramurals! I just love the sport and have such a drive to play better! I do feel a drive to try to play college hoops and walk on! I'd really like to! I think that it would be a good learning experience for me!
Anyway I don't have much else to say! I love and miss you another Christmas away from you guys. LOve you,
Elder Brown

Week 69- Thansgiving feeling crummy!

I woke up Thursday morning and felt really sick and I'm still sick today. I've been coughing up mucus and nasty stuff so it hasn't been a fun couple of days. I stayed inside Thursday,  Friday and Saturday. While I was inside I wrote a really good song, I'll play and sing it to you when I get home. Pray I get better. My mind is like so fried right now probably because I haven't had a lot of sleep! It wasn't the best Thanksgiving ever but one to remember. Still popped enough advil down to get out of bed Thursday and eat some turkey. The food was flavorless because my nose couldnt smell anything hahah! oh man what are ya going to do!

Seemed like the Brown/hanson/knarr clan had a fun thanksgiving break! Nice to have family all back?! How was Katie's party who came? I saw those Christmas card pics I love those! You all look so 🔥! Dad looks good I love the scruff tell him its a good look for him! Avery is so tall holy cow! She is almost as tall as dad! Send me thanksgiving pics of the family did anybody take some? Where was Alex for thanksgiving? I didn't see Chase in any of the pictures either.
As far as the week goes we put April on date for baptism and she already knows who she wants to baptize her. She is on date for the 31st of December. Her and Calen both came to church Sunday. also we got a return appointment for sat. with Tom  who has 3 kids who are 8, 12, and 15. He is super interested in our beliefs and we gave him a book of Mormon. He is solid as well. This is the most work I have seen all my mission and its funny because its in the area where I had the least amount of work in the beginning of my mission. Remember Kelly?  I wonder what happened to her when she moved to California. Ryan decided not to get bapt I think I may  have told you already. He is taking a break from the missionaries but is still reading the book of mormon surprisingly. I hope he continues to investigate in the future. I know I planted a really good seed. The name of the guy Elder Bird and I baptized is Clarence Freeman and he is in the grand view ward. The work keeps picking up and we have even more to go see! super exciting! The lord is blessing this ward it is honestly all him. As long as we strive for obedience the Lord blesses. He doesn't expect perfection but he expects acts of faith to be shown.

Funny story for you I may  have told it.  I'm not sure but last week me and Elder Beck were riding up a hill when I saw a squirrel jump from the tree onto the sidewalk in our way.   I was feeling quite devilish and I rode my bike on the right of the sidewalk hopefully having to make the squirrel choose death by bike or possible road kill? Funny enough it ran out in the middle of the street hoping it could make it but sadly the prius didn't swerve in time and totally wrecked that squirrel.   hahahahahahhaahahaha!!!! That thing got squashed you could hear it crack as all the bones were shattered. After flipping once over the tire it layed in the street quiet and still. Meanwhile me and Elder Beck practically fell off our bikes because of excessive laughter and nearly peed our pants. funny day.
Well that's all for me anything else.

Elder Brown

Week 68- Arvada is hopping

This week we found 2 new investigators not potentials but those now actually investigating. They both came to church.  Caleb  is 13 and a foster kid. They are both solid referrals we got from missionaries in the same and different missions. Super stoked. Its funny because I have only baptized off of member referrals or referrals in general. I think I told you last week that someone me and Elder Bird found a long time ago got baptized so that's awesome. But it was super exciting for all this to happen this week. Also we have a part member family that has 6 kids and the husband who is the non member wants us to go over and teach him. Elder beck and I are also going to start teaching this guy named Tom he has 3 kids and wants to meet. And now we found another part member family and they just talked to the bishop and want us to come by so we have so much work now it is such a blessing from the Lord.

Me and elder Beck have been having so much fun! His mom sent us Chicago Bulls gear so now I have more clothes and another hat! The pictures I sent are of us doing service for the city of Aravada.  We collected leaves ripped them open and dumped them in huge piles so it was pretty fun. We did it with the whole zone. We did it 3 weeks in a row and now its over so we can't do it anymore.

I really don't need much and don't want you to spend a ton. My Christmas gift is honestly seeing you and dad and the girls. Oh maybe a UVU sweatshirt I don't have a sweatshirt. The BYU one got small and shrunk and got super dirty so I had to chuck it. So I don't have a sweatshirt.

I watched the face to face with Elder Oaks and Ballard. It was so good, you should watch it sometime. Really good questions but really good answers!

I don't have much else just the work is moving forward! Thanksgiving we are eating at 2 locations. the Ellis's and the Reynolds. we are bowling in the morning and football later and then having a meeting from 7-9:30. But that's my week!
Love you so much.   Have a great Thanksgiving. I'm so grateful for you and dad and all the money and support and love that you show me. I'm grateful to have two caring parents. I'm grateful that I have been raised in the Gospel Of Jesus Christ. I'm grateful for this chance to serve the lord for 2 years. Probably the best decision I have ever made! I can't wait for the exciting things to come! Love you Izzy and Avery thanks for being the sweetest and kindest sisters in the world.   I love you both so so much and I can't wait to see you!
Love Elder Brown

Week 67_ Zone Conference

It's Elder Brown here.  Good week this week and last! I will number off all the things I have done in the past 7 days.

1.) Zone conference with W. Anderson of the 70 was Thursday and Friday! I went to both because I had to play the piano for 3 musical numbers. We played our two choir numbers and I Accompanied a piece for a trio of sisters! It was great! Brother Anderson called me up while he was speaking and did a little piano analogy it was great! Super spiritual conference and a lot learned! Great teachings and great things I can apply. Friday I played the two musical numbers and I played A Poor Wayfaring Man of Grief and it was beautiful,  maybe the best I have ever played it. He said the same things he did at the  south conference but the floor was opened for questions and a lot of elders and sisters talked about how they can be safe in the gospel when their families back home aren't. I find it amazing some elders and sisters come out here and serve for 18 months to 2 years without any or hardly any support from home. Bless them and all they do their reward will be great!
2.) One of our investigators dropped us this week which was pretty disheartening. Her name is carol.  She was totally being prepared but her anxiety kicked in  and she left us a note on her door with our marked up Book of Mormon we gave her inside of 2 Christmas Stockings. At least she said she would meet back up in the summer. So I guessed we planted the summer harvest?
3.) We have been racking up referrals in the last 3 weeks! We got three so far. One of them we are meeting this week so that should be exciting! The other was a referral from elders in 1st ward. There is this foster child named Cj and he showed up to church by himself and expressed interest in learning more. We are meeting with him this Tuesday.  Elder Beck and I found 3 solid potentials this week by tracting and we found another one after going on splits with the ward high priest group leader. He is a stud!
4.) Let me tell you we have the best ward mission leader. We had a ward council and even before that our ward mission leader met with President Pingry of the mission presidency. He got some ideas and presented them in our ward council. I think it was enough of a spark to change our wards shift on missionary work and now we got the ball moving. We have been doing our missionary program with members and its working. We are actually getting two more referrals soon that seem pretty promising. I think the ward is finally catching the drift, and our ward mission leader talked us up a lot to the ward.  It was awesome and he was giving us such nice compliments my spirits were raised and I may or may not have shed a couple of tears hehe! Anyway I'm pretty excited!
5.) We have been taking a priest on splits with us on Wednesdays and he is a super cool guy. We will try to prepare him for a mission.
6.) I got a little lazy last week and was a tad disobedient but I have learned to repent quickly and not to panic and move forward. I think in the past I get used to beating my self up kinda like Elder Hollands talk in conference. I'm staggering sometimes ya know. but my bed has been made I have got up on time and I'm making sure I set the best example for my brand new companion.  Its hard to kinda step up when you have someone who is slowly trying to get into the swing of missionary work, He is doing well though. He is a great teacher but struggle talking to people on the street! He will get there!
7.) Got your packages the gps is so helpful thank you thank you that will be put to good use. And I will give it back to you when we go on long trips so you don't have to burn your phone battery or I might take it to school.
8.) I want to drive my car out to utah. I would like it out there.   I want to be able to visit family and drive to grandmas and grandpa Ben's.
9.) As for school, I'm still considering UVU! Sister Savage highly recommended it since she taught public speaking there!  The Lord as been telling me to go out there as well so I'm thinking that is my school. I may or may not major. I may just go undeclared and see what the Lord speaks to me next. One thing I learn I have to take it a step at a time. The Lord isn't just going to make everything known at once that is not how revelation works either. but yeah.....
10.) I love you so much! I'm going to finish this mission strong.  Love you guys to the moon and back
Love,
Elder Brown

Week 66- Go Birds!

We went to the temple and I have officially memorized everything haha!  I saw sister Simmons.   I miss her, but I'm not allowed to email her! You may have to forward my emails to her. Tell her she was the most sweetest lady I have ever met and she did all she could to take care of me and my companion. I love her and she is invited to my wedding along with my grandmas!
Today is zone pday! Today the whole zone is wearing joggers haha! We are baking cookies and playing volleyball! I love the missionaries in the zone! oh Elder Anderson is coming to zone conference!!!!!!!!!!!! He is doing a mission tour and I'm playing for two musical numbers and also singing in an elders quartet! We are singing I need thee every hour! I"m living in the same house I was living in a year ago yes! I wore my gray suit to church and meetings! Its my nice meeting suit! I wear all of my clothes!  I didn't get the package yet but he Ap's said it is in the car! I don't know what I want for Christmas. I have no more room in my suitcases. For christmas I want to send some stuff home because I really am running out of room. I have to think about what I want for Christmas tho lol!
I don't see the mission president very much but I called him the other day because he put me in charge of figuring out the logistics of zone conference and he told me as well as Sister Savage that MLC with all the zone leaders was dead and felt empty because I wasn't there to give new ideas. They miss seeing me but they trust me with Elder Beck! They love us so much that they made time to train our ward mission leader so we can have more assistance in the work! Our ward mission leader is awesome though! Super energetic and thinks that me coming back to the ward was the greatest thing since Armstrong landed on the moon.  I love it! I'm trying to be humble but honest at the same time. Someone told me at church yesterday that I'm like a celebrity in the ward lol! I bore my testimony in church the other day about relationships with significant others to a relationship with Christ! It was good! Then Elder Beck went up and shared his it was awesome! This week as far as the work goes was awesome our hard work payed off! Our teaching pool went from 0-2 in two weeks and the goal is to have a little more progressing investigators! With the lords help we can do it! Elder Beck is awesome! He struggles to talk to people because he doesn't know what to say but I have been trying to help him! I need to do a little better job as well and actually make him take over the contact so he can get the practice in! Anyway I love you guys and I hope you have a good week! The Eagles keep playing well they smacked the donkeys! Go Birds!

Elder Brown

Week 65- 15 Months Down!

Hey Mom and Dad.   How's it going?  Training Elder Beck is so fun! Our mission is a hard mission! It's really hard to find people and then teach them and help them progress! We are meeting with this guy named Steven! We have been helping him move a lot of stuff from his storage unit because he is being evicted from his home. He really is a good guy.  He had some history way back in the day but has been turning his life around and trying to quit some addictions. He is attending addiction recovery with someone from the first ward and he is doing really well. He doesn't have a place to stay and so he will be sleeping in his truck! I wish I could find him a place to live. Its hard to find affordable homes here in Arvada! He said he wants to start learning about the Gospel of Jesus Christ but we haven't been able to teach him yet because he has been so busy! But he did come to church this week so that was great! It's been a struggle to find people! We have been doing a lot of tracting but we haven't been able to find anyone super solid yet! Keep praying for our area! We have been working a lot with members and teaching them this awesome lesson inspired by President Savage! Its a super dope lesson that is really simple for a lot of people to do! The whole mission has been doing it with members and we have been seeing a lot of success! I hope it starts helping us find people to teach! Ryan is doing great! He took a trip to Provo with Nathan Crowley and loved it so much! He said he didn't have something crazy happen but he feels that he wants to take the leap of faith and be baptized! Keep praying for him! I hope he decides to get baptized! I think they are going to set another date with him! Its a really hard decision for him! pray pray pray!

The members love having me back and the new ward mission leaders is a former stake president and counselor and he is on fire! Hopefully we can get the work moving here in Aravada! I love it here and its super cold on bike but we will just have to suffer through it! I'm excited to facetime coming up here soon! After that one more facetime and I'm outta here! The time is flying! 15 months this week!

LOve you all!

Week 64 I'm a Trainer!

Hey Mom crazy week this week! A lot happening!

Lets start with Friday, transfer day! A stressful morning of packing since I was living and fully unpacked in Sister Simmon's home for the last 6 months.  I got packed said goodbye to sister S and scooter-booped on out of there. Me and Elder Field the trainers from my old zone left to the mission office way up in Broomfield! Had a wonderful jam secession  to vocal point as we got hyped to see who we are training!

We got up to the mission home a tad late but they weren't going to introduce us to our trainers until quarter till. So how it works is President Sav will bring up one of the new missionaries to the front of the room and he will then announce our name and come out of the curtain and greet them. So I had an idea when they announced my name they would open the curtain on the other side and I'd play the beginning of piano man and then go up and greet my new greenie! That's what I did and it was pretty stinkin funny!

Elder Beck is my new greenie companion. He has now been out in the field for 3 days and he is loving life! I tell him stories every night before I go to bed!  We get along really well! It's going to be a fun two transfers! He is from Vegas and he just graduated high school! Me and Elder Beck are serving in Aravada 3rd ward! ring a bell? THAT IS MY GREENIE AREA WHERE I WAS TRAINED! Now I'm back in it training! I am also living with the Ulrichs which were the members I lived with my second transfer! We went to church on Sunday and I got to see all of my favorite families and they thought I already went home hahaha! I'm really excited to be back there and my mission brother Elder Candland the 2nd person Elder Merkely trained recently left there and they have some work going on! It's weird being back but apparently there are certain people I have been called to help out! Hopefully I can see some fruits this transfer!

Ryan Tupper is on date for Nov 3rd so he is really close to being  baptized. He recently took a trip out to Salt Lake were he met up with our best friend Nathan Crowley! Nathan is touring him around the temple as we speak! Keep praying for him! Things are alive and well I'm coming up here on 15 months crazzzyyyy!!! I love it here and am excited to tell you the exciting news that will come later in this transfer and next!

I need a GPS bad!  Elder Beck doesn't have one and I need one because in our area every street has the same name twice! It is super confusing!

I played again for another musical fireside.  It was amazing and so spiritual.  President thanked me for planning and preparing the music.
No I can't go back for Ryan's bap.  President wants us to stay and work which I'm completely on board. I already have pics with him and email him weekly

Love you Mom!!!!!!!!!!!
 Ryan!!!

 Elder Merkley my trainer!
 My new companion Elder Beck!
I'm now the trainer!

Week 63 I am bleesed!!

Hey I here the Eagles are doing well. I think since I left on my mission I have been becoming a Eagles fan! Have to rep my home state right! Are they are 4-1 and I here Carson Wentz is throwing some cheddar. He's good! BYU sucks and won't win a game hahaha! They are always a disappointment in every sport except volley ball ha!

I washed my whites with a pen!!!! MY shirts are fine! I got all the blue out of them except for one.   Thankfully with the help of Sister Simmons! ughh heaven help me!  I burned the one shirt in the fire pit.

Ryan is on date for November 4th! He is so close dad so stinking close.  We have been doing everything we can. Last night was our convert fireside for half the mission. Oh my gosh dad some of the most amazing convert testimonies I have ever heard. Ryan came and loved the first speaker and says he wants to take a trip to the Salt Lake temple. He has no support and we have been trying to find more fellowship for him but the YSA ward sucks at helping out! They don't have a full grasp on how important this is and he needs a good friend. We are going to contact one of the speakers and have her meet with Ryan because he really liked what she said and it resonated with him. Pray for Ryan!

Also at the convert fireside I played 5 musical numbers. I played the piano for 4 of them and sang in a barbershop octet.  "I need thee every hour" A Capella! It was brilliant and sounded so good! I had a little solo in there and I had a lot of compliments! I'm nicknamed the piano man around the mission because I literally play the piano for everything haahah!  I helped most of the Elders learn their parts.  It was fun to work with music.

More miracles this week.   We had 2 potential investigators/former contact us back and ask to meet up again so our teaching pool is now up to 3! And then a day later another texted us and said he wants to meet up again this week! It's awesome!

Things are going well. I don't find out transfers  until Wednesday and I don't know who is going where. President says he wants me to train a new missionary but I haven't gotten a call yet!

Anyway hope that answers Your questions.  I love you dad! Thanks for believing in me! I truly am blessed! Love you dad and mom!

Elder Brown
PS.  So the new approved missionary haircuts came out. Luckily I have been preparing for the day so now I can fit in with all the other elders. Hope you know I'm trying to rock the grandpa Ben. I just need to put my hair in a ponytail and braid it I will be Gucci.  Know the Lord doesn't care what you look like as long as you live the gospel.

Week 62 Heros

I love you dad!!! Thanks for the email! I will keep working hard! We had an amazing lesson with Ryan this week! also an amazing lesson with this kid trying to prepare for a mission. The spirit gave me a lot of incredible things to say and I also promised him as a representative that if he does these things that he will be able to pull through.  I felt the spirit tell me I needed to share my experiences about the atonement and the grace of Jesus Christ. It was such an amazing lesson.

I know! super sad that I might be leaving Sister Simmons.   I love you so much mom hope all is well! Mom President savage is one of my heroes.  That man is amazing. He makes me cry when he speaks because he speaks with great power and with the spirit! The experiences I have been having out here are molding me and shaping me just like my patriarchal blessing says. It's because I'm striving for obedience and being diligent and patient in all that I  do! I love it here I never want to leave! I love you MOm and I will send a bigger email next week!
